MetroMFT is proud to collaborate with the University of Maryland’s Couple and Family Therapy Program to offer a new workshop designed to deepen clinicians’ cultural responsiveness, clinical skill, and systemic awareness. This in-service training bridges theory, research, and real-world clinical practice.

Navigating Money in Couple Therapy

Presented by Mariana K. Falconier, PhD, LCMFT

This presentation explores the intersection of finances and couple relationships. We will examine assessment strategies and clinical interventions for chronic financial stress, disagreements in financial goals and management, and distribution of financial roles and tasks. Additionally, we will cover techniques for improving communication about money, identifying signs of financial abuse, and determining when to refer clients to a financial specialist.
