The Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists is transitioning to a new online licensing system to improve efficiency, transparency, and application processing times.

Effective June 20, 2026, the Board will begin accepting applications and payments exclusively through the new online system.

⚠️ After June 20, 2026, any paper or emailed application submissions will be rejected and returned.

During this transition period, they encourage all applicants and licensees to prepare for the change and monitor the Board’s website for detailed instructions and system updates.
